Hayley Silvertown

Based in Paul Hastings’ Century City office, Hayley Silvertown is a dynamic Lead Counsel within the firm’s elite Music Industry Practice. Since joining Paul Hastings from Willkie Farr in February 2025, she has immediately taken on a central and pivotal role.

Hayley spearheads the industry’s most complex and high-profile music transactions. She serves as the primary adviser to Create Music Group, while simultaneously delivering strategic support to industry titans Primary Wave and BMG on critical matters.

Known for her extensive experience and strategic insight, Hayley is the go-to representative for clients on major transactions, including high-stakes buy-side and sell-side music catalog acquisitions, investments in and acquisitions of music companies, and complex joint venture arrangements.

Furthermore, her transactional expertise spans the full spectrum of content and talent deals, handling essential day-to-day matters such as recording and publishing agreements; podcasting and content licensing; negotiating first-look and overall deals; branding and endorsement agreements; composer agreements for film and television; and performance agreements for major music festivals and live concerts.

In 2026, Hayley’s work with the broader Paul Hastings team was recognized in Variety’s Legal Impact Report. Hayley holds degrees from UCLA School of Law and the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law, and is admitted to the Ontario Bar Association and the State Bar of California.
