Ryan Kerns is a criminal defense attorney in Los Angeles. In addition to his work at Wild About Trial, he is a solo practitioner with experience in criminal law, civil litigation, and sports law.
As the Chief Legal Correspondent for Wild About Trial, Kerns has extensive experience providing legal commentary and analysis for some of the most sensational trials throughout the country. He was on location and reported from inside the courtroom at the Aaron Hernandez murder trial in Fall River, Mass., the James Holmes “Move Theater Massacre” murder trial in Centennial, Colo., and the Hulk Hogan civil trial against Gawker Media in St. Petersburg, FL.
In addition to his criminal practice, he is an accredited member of the press in Los Angeles and has written legal commentary on numerous local cases including the Michael Jackson family civil trial and the Orange County manslaughter trial against police officers accused of using excessive force against a local homeless man, Kelly Thomas. He has made numerous television appearances including local Fox, NBC, and ABC affiliates, in addition to various radio appearances.
Mr. Kerns received his J.D. from UCLA School of Law. He received his B.A. with honors from the University of California at Berkeley.
